Our services

At Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, we offer a range of services that support access to our collections, research, learning and the care of artworks. Here’s how we can help.

Services at Auckland Art Gallery

H2: Research

The E H McCormick Research Library [insert link] holds an extensive collection of resources on New Zealand and international artists, artworks and exhibitions.

The library is open Wednesday–Friday from 1–5pm, where one of our librarians can help you – no appointment is needed.

H2: Conservation services

Our conservation team [link to conservation page] cares for paintings, works on paper, photographs and objects in the Gallery’s collection, ensuring their preservation for future generations.

Our Conservation Research Centre carries out technical research into the materials, making and history of artworks. This research informs conservation treatments and builds essential knowledge about works in our collection.

H3: Get in touch with a conservator

While we do not offer conservation treatments for privately owned artworks, our conservators can offer guidance on how to care for them.

Contact the conservation team to ask about conservation guidance:

H2: Request a print of an artwork

Want a copy of an artwork for your home, a gift, or a project?

Prints of selected collection artworks are available to purchase from our online shop. Browse Gallery prints from the shop.

You can also request reproductions of artworks in the Gallery’s collection for private or commercial use. These are available as high-quality prints or digital files in a range of sizes.

View the price list for reproduction uses, formats and sizes.

Some artworks are pre-approved and ready to order, while others require copyright clearance and additional permissions.

For more information, please see:

H3: How to request a print

You can browse our collection online. Some artworks in the collection are out of copyright and have been pre-approved for reproduction. See a selection of copyright-free works.
