About our library and archive
Welcome to the E H McCormick Research Library and Archive. Located on the mezzanine floor inside Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, the library provides access to a large range of material on New Zealand and international art and artists. Along with books and journals, the archives hold a treasure trove of material on iconic artists, artist-run spaces, art historians, and exhibition ephemera. There’s something for everyone, from researchers to art enthusiasts and those simply looking to learn more about art.

The library is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. No appointment necessary.
